Food industry at greater risk for work-related injuries and death

Workers in the food industry have a 60 percent higher rate of work-related injuries and over nine times higher death rates than other industries, reports the July 2015 issue of Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. A 2008-2010 study looked at five food industry processes: production, processing, distribution, storage and retail.
