SONY DSCWith its submission of minority and women attorney data to the Portland Business Journal, Reinisch Wilson Weier PC was ranked second overall for most diverse Portland Metropolitan law firms.

The February 3, 2017, issue of the Portland Business Journal posted the results of its annual survey of Portland Metropolitan-Area law firms. As part of the survey, firms were asked about women and minority attorneys in metro area workforces. The percent share for total attorneys and for partners were added together to determine the firm’s ranking.

The reported data for Reinisch Wilson Weier PC indicated

54% of metro-area attorneys are women;

8% of metro-area attorneys are minorities;

50% of metro-area partners are women;

10% of metro-area partners are minorities.

Among all metro-area law firms who responded to the survey, less than one-third of their local attorneys are women, compared to 35 percent nationally. Just 6.7 percent of local attorneys are minorities, compared to 12 percent nationally.

With the addition of new attorneys during 2016, the firm’s ranking based on 26 Portland metro-area attorneys moved up from number 29 to a tie at 19 with Buckley Law.
