Gina Ko

Senior Associate, Co-Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee

Overview

Gina is an attorney in the firm’s Washington practice group. Her practice focuses on representing employers in all aspects of workers’ compensation law.

Prior to joining the firm, Gina gained experience in a variety of employment law matters as General Counsel for a hospitality development and management company with properties in Oregon and Washington. From there, she transitioned into an advisory and litigation practice as an associate attorney for a boutique Oregon law firm specializing in employment law, OSHA and workers’ compensation defense for self-insured employers.

Born and raised in Oregon, Gina left to complete her undergraduate studies in California, teach English in South Korea, and obtain her law degree in Washington, D.C., before making her way back home.

A strong defense is predicated upon a thorough understanding of the facts and applicable laws. A successful defense requires a balanced approach that prioritizes the individual needs and goals of the client.

My approach is to advise clients on possible outcomes and options. Then, work collaboratively with them to chart a path forward that best meets their priorities.
